Biaxin

What is Biaxin? Biaxin is an antibiotic that is often used to treat some infections. Some of the conditions that Biaxin is used to treat include infections such as sinus, ear, throat, etc.

Biaxin uses do not include treatment for cold or flu symptoms. The Biaxin XL is the extended release form of this medication.

There are Biaxin side effects that users should be aware of. These side effects of Biaxin include such things as skin rash, difficulty breathing, itching, redness, blistering, peeling or loosening of the skin, including inside mouth, vomiting, diarrhea, swelling of tongue or throat, yellow eyes, skin, or urine. There can also be changes in taste or smell, nausea, headache, and stomach pains or cramps.

Any Biaxin patent should be on the lookout for these side effects and should report them to the doctor if they become severe. It is possible that the doctor may need to take you off of this medication and put you on another that will have fewer or less severe side effects.

The Biaxin antibiotic works very well for those infections that it was designed to treat, but as stated above, it does not work for cold or flu symptoms. For those conditions, you should seek medical advice on medications other than Biaxin.

What is Biaxin perscribed for? It is often used to treat infections that are located in the sinus, the ear, the throat, and certain skin infections. It is also used occasionally to treat a particular infection associated with stomach ulcers.

There is no Biaxin typical dosage. Your doctor will tell you how much you should take and at what intervals it should be taken. The Biaxin dosage that you are advised to take should not doubled and it should be taken even if you begin to feel better.

There is some evidence that Biaxin and fatigue are associated with one another. If you become so weak or tired that it affects your life, you should talk with your health care provider. You should also talk to them if you plan to take carbatrol and Biaxin together. There are some drug interactions with this medication.

It is also a good idea to talk to your doctor if you plan to take Biaxin and high blood pressure medication.

Clarithromycin and Biaxin are the same, just different names for the same thing. This may be important to know should you wish to do an online search for more information on this medication.
